In your relationship with God, are you more concerned with past failures? Or with hopes for the future?

In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, someone who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said, “The city has fallen.”
~Ezekiel 33:21

I would say that it's a combination of the two.  If I made a mistake in the past, I don't want to make the same mistake again.  If I did something that could benefit the future, then I hope that that task has come to fruition.
