Many people will, at some point, see their well-run lives disintegrate. What enables someone to pick up the pieces, as david did?

The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: “O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you—O Absalom, my son, my son!”
~II Samuel 18:33

Prayer and trust in God.

What determines your choices? Your own desires? Or your understanding of God's will? Think of some recent decisions you have made and apply this question to them.

David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die!
Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
~II Samuel 12:5, 7

On the majority, I would say my understanding of God's will.  God's will is very important ot me and I know I have to keep telling myself to trust in it, even if I might not like the result that might come out.  I truly believe God knows what is the very best for me.

Are there any situations in which you are tempted to "just go along" with sin because of pressure?

I woud say not very much.  I'm sure I do have my moments, but in most cases I do try my best what I think is rigth in my heart
